Project 1 - Have your idea ready by Tuesday, September 18th

We are going to be educating the public about SOLAR POWER.

-Why should we go solar?  Think of a FACT that you want to share through our informative video.

We will be entering the following contest as a TEAM:

Environment California’s L.A. Solar Video Contest
Sunlight. Camera. Action.

Welcome to Environment California's L.A. Solar Video Contest.

As anyone who has flown into LAX knows, the city has a lot of empty rooftop space. During the day, the rays of the sun bathe those rooftops in light--and virtually endless amounts of energy. More than any other city in the country, Los Angeles could benefit from a robust market for rooftop solar power on homes, office buildings, schools, stores, warehouses and parking lots.

Through our short video contest, Sunlight. Camera. Action., Environment California aims to educate the public and generate interest in making Los Angeles the #1 solar city in America.

We’re looking for videos that highlight L.A.’s tremendous solar power potential. We're looking for your creativity—come up with a unique, maybe even viral, video that the public will find amusing, engaging or inspiring, or all of the above.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three films, as determined by public online voting and a guest panel of Hollywood celebrities and producers. In addition, there will be a "People's Choice Award" for the top public vote getter.

Prizes
First Prize - $1,500
Second Prize - $750
Third Prize - $250
People's Choice Award - free publicity of your work

The contest is open to all California residents—young and old, novices and experienced filmmakers alike, individuals and teams. If you’ve got a creative idea, then it’s time to call “Sunlight! Camera! Action!”
