I was surprised to hear that none of our entries for Los Angeles County Student Film Festival won.
However, I did get an e-mail today from California Film Festival and we had one entry that won. Please read the e-mail below. There will be more information to come for those that want to attend.

Congratulations Mark Keppel VAPA Magnet School!
We are delighted to inform you that your project titled: Keppel Solar has been nominated for a special category award in the 47th Annual California Student Media Festival. Special category winners will be announced on our websitewww.mediafestival.org on Monday, May 20th.
The California Student Media Festival is excited to include your work in our June 15th celebration.
We have an exciting venue change for 2013 festival! Save the date for June 15, 2013 at 9AM at the TCL Theatres in Hollywood (Hollywood & Highland, formally Grauman’s Chinese Theatres). A letter with event details, registration information, and your winning certificate will be in the mail at the beginning of next week. Additionally, PBS SoCaL will once again be producing a one-hour broadcast featuring the winners of the festival. Paperwork to ensure your submission is eligible for inclusion on-air will also be included the letter.
We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments on June 15th.
